Working During Covid-19

We are working very hard at this time to keep our staff and the public safe while maintaining good quality care and communication with clients.

Please do not attend the surgery if you are showing symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive.

The government has recently announced that from the 08-08-2020 it will be law to wear a face covering within a building providing veterinary services. We ask our clients to please abide by this where possible. We are very sensitive to the fact that discussing complicated treatment options can be difficult without facial expressions. We are happy to repeat ourselves in an outdoor space.

Having started our journey in this difficult time, we have been able to implement practices to thoroughly clean surfaces and keep the number of people in the building to an absolute minimum. We have a small number of staff so are happy to have you attend consultations indoors with your pets. As you can understand, social distancing in the consult rooms is almost impossible. Our staff will wear face coverings to keep you safe if you choose to come in to the consult room with your pet.

We are also very happy to see consults outside at your car where possible or we will take your pet into our care with a qualified vet nurse handling for the consultation.

If someone is in the surgery we may ask that you wait in your car until your appointment time. If the front door is be locked please knock and a member of staff will come and help you. This is so we can minimise footfall into the practice and ensure social distancing rules are followed.
